We've got NeoRouter professional, and have a request for a web-addon for iOS. What we would like to do, is having the ios app connect to a web-service (custom port).
We've got a couple of hundred NR nodes at the moment, and this would be a great time-saver for our biggest customers.

Is there any plans for such a thing?

What we actually use it for is vending-payment stations. We've got customers that needs to access web services on the nodes for maintenance, configuration and reporting. As of today, they're using the vnc functionality, but this interrupts the consumers usage of the station, therefore it would have been a great addon for us, to be able to browse to the web-service.
In these cases we need to specify the web-port.

If we had full vpn-intergration on the ios device, this would of course solve the same problem, and at the same time offer much greater flexibillity, eg. an opportunity for us to develop our own app for this purpouse.

Any thoughts?

Another solution, obviously, is to get the proper sdk, and make a full-vpn solution for the iOS....

That would be rock'n'roll for us, and we'd be able to develop our own app on top of this.

We have an iOS SDK (www.neorouter.com/developer/) for our partners to integrate NR client into their apps.

You can get the SDK and try it.

Let us know if you have any question.

Note: the SDK on the website is in beta and the version would be old, but it still works with all NR servers. If you consider to use it , we could provide you a new SDK.
