NeoRouter was working on my Chromebook with the chrome-extension NR Remote Access Client Mesh. I'm not sure what happened, but I think Chrome updated itself to version 35. When I rebooted, the extension is installed, but it just brings up a blank browser tab, and I can't connect to my network.
Help!

Hi drfox,

Can you try the NR web client (the link from download page) instead of the extension see if it works?

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

Just tried it, Kevin, and I'm getting the same results.

I did a powerwash on my chromebook, and when I reconfigured everything, I still get a blank screen. I then "unenabled" all my extensions except the NR Remote Access Client Pro, rebooted and restarted Chrome and clicked on the extension...same blank window. What can I try next?

Hi drfox,

Generally you should be able to get in the second time sign in, as the first time NR client forces Chrome browser to request the SSL certificate from the NR server. If you keep getting the blank screen, it means the new Chrome browser may not allow us to reuse the certificate as before.

Please try this:
1.Open the browser and type: https://[your NR server IP]:[port] , go. Then you should be prompted to confirm the certificate, accept it and continue. You may see "OK".
2. Run NR client see if it works.

The basic idea is to let Chrome browser request the certificate and save it to the cert-store on the device, so that it won't ask for it anymore. If the trick still not works, I guess Chrome may require a real certificate from the server.

Let me know if it is still not working.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

Hi drfox,

We have fixed the issue of NR Client for Chrome Extension against Chrome v35 (released on June 10, 2014). Please get the latest version from Chrome App Store.

Let us know if still have problem.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team
