I wonder, when I install NeoRouter server on computer which connects to the Internet over proxy, when it creates new domain - did it will use proxy-settings from IE or what?
I can't test it by myself, but I need this information.

Hi Kloz,

NeoRouter server is supposed to be running in the Internet or have the listening port opened to the Internet directly, so it does not support proxy.

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,
Oh, it's a problem :(

Is there any chance of adding this feature later?

We will evaluate it see if more users need it.

The point is

1. If more companies allow using a server behind the proxy server?
If NeoRouter server is behind a proxy and wants to provide service to other clients from the Internet, the proxy server should support the feature. For example in SOCKs 5, the proxy server should connect to the NeoRouter server actively and listen at the same port to simulate the service. But this need admin to change the proxy server settings. Do most companies allow this? If do, why not just forward the traffic to the server directly?

2. If NeoRouter server works as a proxy client only, meaning it solves the domain name using proxy client.
In this case, the domain names would map to a fake IP and port, which is proxy server and NeoRouter clients cannot get it.

3. Current status is if you want to use it behind a proxy server, all clients behind the same proxy server can connect to the NeoRouter server using IP instead of domain name.

So it's necessary to put NeoRouter server on the Internet so far. In the future we have a better solution to solve the issue, e.g. for some users who cannot setup NeoRouter server can still use NeoRouter clients, of cause there would be limitations. Anyway, we've been thinking about this. Just be patient. :)

Thanks,
