Hi dan,

Thanks for trying NeoRouter.

Did you setup port forwarding for the server? If so, please try the public IP instead of domain first.

thanks,

Hi dan,

If I understand correctly, you setup a NeoRouter server, that has full Internet access, and want to access the Internet connection from other computers that are limited by firewall. Let me know if I was wrong.

Ok. You can do this:

1. setup a neorotuer server. Here, the server has to open a port (port forwarding) to the Internet. Seems you already did it at home or somewhere. It's necessary, so that all other clients can connect to the server at 32976 port. To verify this, you can use Configuration Explorer or telnet to your server's public IP at 32976 port see if it's connected.

2. once you get the first step done, you can install the 3proxy add-on from our website http://www.neorouter.com/addons/index.html, or setup your own proxy server. If you choose our proxy add-on, you may want to open the Windows firewall for tcp port 1080 (default setting for SOCKs) on the server.

3. now, you can try to connect to the server from your NeoRouter client. If you can log on to the NeoRouter server from client, you may want to setup proxy for your application that you want to use to access Internet. For example, you want to use Firefox to access some websites blocked by the firewall. You can setup the proxy go to "Tools->Options->Network->settings", set proxy server to your NeoRouter server virtual IP (8.0.0.x), protocol to SOCKs5, port at 1080. Done.
From now on, when you use Firefox to access a website, all requests are routed to your home NeoRouter server though the virtual network and proxy. No limitation anymore.

Let us know, if you still have problem.

Good luck,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team
