We are migrating from Windows XP to Linux Mint. Can we just copy files from windows to Linux Mint Neo Router server and just change the IP of the new Linux Mint to that of the old Win XP machine? If yes what files from where to where?

Hi dhampikian,

Yes. You can simply copy the database file (if any other customized files) under the main config folder from Windows to Linux.

The main config folder can be various for different OS.
On Windows Xp:
X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ZebraNetworkSystems\NeoRouter

On Vista+:
X:\Users\All Users\ZebraNetworkSystems\NeoRouter

On Linux/Unix and Mac OSX:
/usr/local/ZebraNetworkSystems/NeoRouter

On in-a-box:
On Tomato, /jffs
On OpenWrt, /usr/local/ZebraNetworkSystems/NeoRouter

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

where is NeoRouter Client saving the Sign In paramters (username, password, "log in to"-domain)?

On Debian i found /usr/local/ZebraNetworkSystems/NeoRouter/client.xml
But there is only the domain, mac and another HardwareID saved.
And changing the domain takes no affect in the Client Login GUI.
I also tried to stop the service, change the Domain in the client.xml and start the service again.

Where can we fill in username and domain after installing NeoRouter Client without using the nrclientcmd? Is this possible?

I didn't find any of these documented config-files like feature.ini or log.ini.

Thanks,
Marcus

Hi itskaefer,

On Windows, the credentials are encrypted and stored in registry; while on Linux, it is not saved anywhere. With nrclientcmd CLI took, you can specify parameters to pass in domain name, user name , password and so on, so you can script it when you need. Run "nrclientcmd --help" for the detailed information about the parameters.

Thanks,
