Hello, I have installed TunTap & NeoRouter, however I am wondering if there is anyway to actually turn off the connection when it is not being used - especially for security reasons. I don't want it running all the time and only wish to use it to play a LAN game over the internet. It appears that the connection continues even after you have signed out and exited NeoRouter - I can still see online status, ping, view remote screen etc... By the way it is running on Mac OSX. Thanks |

Hi bm1, To stop the NR client daemon on OS X: sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/nrservice.plist To start the NR client daemon on OS X: sudo launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/nrservice.plist NR client service keep a connection to the NR server, so that users can remotely access the devices. In NR Pro/Mesh, the connection will be protected by the built-in firewall/ACL rules; in NR Free, it's none, just like in a LAN. Thanks, KevinZ - NeoRouter team |

You always have remote access. With the help of the device, you can stop or re-launch the process. There should be no problems. |
