Hi Guys,

We want to buy PRO but have question about good configuring.

Let me explain our situation. We have 50+ servers. These servers are grouped in 7-8 group. Every server from one group can see only server from the same group (security obligations).

We have 15 users with theirs computers that have access to all servers and other computers.

In total, we will have 70+ computers in our network with 20+ users. So, administrator should configure access for 20 users for each of 70 computers. The question is : how to do it easily because doing it with interface will be a pain.

Please, consider:
1. All real physical users have the same security rights (but should have different accounts for security reasons)
2. For each group of servers we can have one user. So, for 50+ servers we will have 7-8 users.

More precise question: can we create some kind of "Role" or "User group" or just create one user and create others by copying the rights from the first one?

Hi Roman Bulanenko,

I can understand your situation. Basically you may want to split the VLAN into several groups and put ACL rules/users to each computer.

I'm afraid that NR doesn't support user role yet, the simplest way is like this:

1. Setup Default ACl rules in NR Console, put most common rules in it, so that new registered computer will be applied with the default settings automatically.

2. Tweak rules for a computer in a group and use it as an example to copy to other computers in the same group.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team
