Hi!
At last time I've faced with situation when my remote comp is freezing (static picture on a physically connected monitor) BUT neorouter IS working, plugged add-on TightVNC viewer IS working, ping IS working.
So the only thing which I want now - is to reboot remotely this PC. BUT i do not see corresponding available menu item at neorouter's menu. TightVNC shows also only static picture - so I can't use build-int features of remote Windows for reboot. ONLY brute-force - only something with driver installed inside the Windows - can do such trick - like forcibly remote the Windows.... I am talking now about NeoRouter client tool of course which is installed on a remote PC.
SO how I can do this inside the neorouter, Using the built-in features of neorouter?
OR for some unreasonable reasons this feature is not implemented yet?

Hi graphElem,

You can restart the computer remotely over the NeoRouter network if you set the computer up properly.

I found the following links, how they help.

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/lib ... 70416.aspx
http://www.wikihow.com/Remotely-Restart ... mmand-Line

You can also make your own add-ons for this.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

This is a very interesting idea - BUT - addon should use some prebuilt-in feature
of .... of what? of neorouter driver? of neorouter module?
which API will show to me - from where such function can be accessed?
Windows methods are not suitable for my case - coz as i said - windows has been frozen.
So only brute actions can help - that's why I am thinking that this feature should exist
exactly inside the NeoRouter client engine itself.

Try PSTools - I use it on servers that I have issues with remote reboots..

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sys ... 96649.aspx

psshutdown \\computername -u username -p password -r -f -t 0

"Try PSTools - I use it on servers that I have issues with remote reboots.."

it works only in a case when i have proper working windows on a remote server.
BUT if I have a case when windows got stuck at some nonoperational state - this tool
does not work. And that's why I again and again is asking - why this feature is not created
in a neorouter client's engine inside? Because this module installs a driver!!!
A driver which has direct impact on a windows - so in my case this driver will have a
muuuuuch more chances to reboot even "frozen" windows.

If your machine is frozen in that state, it may simply not be possible to force a remote reboot.

Yep it may or may not be possible. We will not know about it w/o tests.
But for this definitely this feature should exists inside the engine/driver
on a client side already.
For ex. we all (I pretty sure) know that killing of some windows processes
(like winlogon or svchost with RDP service started or smss) will lead to
forcible reboot of the computer in a 1 min. So neorouter can do this trick.

http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinov ... vices.aspx
in this article very famous person describes this case.
