Connecting to a remote desktop server through windows remote desktop connection with audio redirection allows sound to play from the server on the local device. However when connecting through the ip address assigned by NeoRouter to the remote desktop sound can not be redirected. Is there any work arounds for this or a setting in place? I have tried with multiple firewall settings with no success. |

Hi pockat, Since you can RDP to the remote machine over NR network, the tunnel is working well and this must be related to RDP settings. I don't think it's a firewall issue. Please check if the option to 'Play on Remote computer?is enabled on the computer. To do this follow the steps below: Click on 'Start' and type 'Remote desktop connections' and Enter. In the 'Remote desktop connections' click on 'Options' and select 'Local Resource' tab. Then click on 'Settings' and under 'Remote audio Playback' select 'Play on Remote computer' Click OK' Hope this helps. Thanks, KevinZ - NeoRouter team |

This setting is already in place, I'm testing this with connecting to the Remote desktop server with its normal ip address and the NeoRouter ip address with all other settings not changed beyond the ip address. The nonNeorouter ip address has no issues with sound redirection, but the Neorouter address can't redirect sound. |

so what you are suggesting is that RDP sound replication only works when DNS is in place? is that correct? |

Sound is redirected properly for me when RDP'ing from Win8.1 Pro to Win7 SP1 Ultimate via NeoRouter 2.3.1.4360 free. |
