Network cable disconnected problem

Post subject:  Network cable disconnected problem
Used to connect to my server using Hamachi but that's been causing a lot of problems lately so I decided to try Neorouter. I got it installed on the server and on my computer but it was running slow. I noticed the port NR was using was the same as Hamachi so I decided to change it. Once I did that the NR network adapter shows network cable disconnected and I can't log in from anywhere (local or remote). I've attached the log after I restarted the services.

Is the port open? Firewall? Try using local address IP address and port to log in.

I have seen that spurious message about cable disconnected, but just waiting a few seconds, then continuing to make the connection (always for file sharing in my case), it works anyway. I see that message mostly on Win XP machines, not on Win 7, Win 10, or any variety of Linux machines.
