Hi Malcolm,
I think your may want to make port forwarding to the 32976 port instead of 80, as NeoRouter server is listening at 32976 as you mentioned. It looks like this:
[public IP] [192.168.0.1] [192.168.0.x]
The Internet ---> DLink DIR 655 ---> Vista (NeoRouter server: 32976)
forward public 32976 port to private computer 32976 port
For example, your Vista has a private IP 192.168.0.x, allocated by Dlink router. So you can try this:
1. On the Vista computer, open a CMD window, type
telnet 127.0.0.1 32976
If you can see it connects to the server, let's do the next step
2. Run Configuration Explorer
User Name:
Password:
Log on to: 127.0.0.1
It should work and you can log on to the server now.
3. Let's try NeoRouter domain name.
If your port forwarding is setup properly, you can run the Configuration Explorer and
Log on to: NeoRouter domain name
If it does not work, you can open a browser and go to the website:
http://www.getip.com/. From here, you can see your public IP address and try to put this address in the "
Log on to" textbox in the sign in dialog box.
If the public IP does not work, it's more like your port forwarding does not setup properly.
Let us know, if you still have problem.
Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team
