Every time I log in to the NeoConfiguration the log in screen keeps re-appearing? Also on NeoExplorer I get the same problem I seem
to be in a perpetual loop? I am running these programs as Administrator.
This is a brand new installation!

Hi Malcolm,

This may happen when the connection to your server is timeout or some other unexpected reasons.

Please make sure your server is running by using telnet to your server's listening port and using TCPView to monitor it. Once telnet works, you can use Configuration Explorer to log on the server.

Thanks,

Kevin thank you for your help. I am still a bit lost so please be patient.

I have set up a virtual server port on my 655 router to take the 32976 public port to my server computer on Private Port 80. According to TCP view port 32976 is being monitored. Can you help me set up Telnet so I can check the port? Can I do it from my server computer or should I
use a different computer on my network.

System Win Vista SP1
DLink DIR 655 router
Broadband cable modem

Hi Malcolm,

I think your may want to make port forwarding to the 32976 port instead of 80, as NeoRouter server is listening at 32976 as you mentioned. It looks like this:
[public IP] [192.168.0.1] [192.168.0.x]
The Internet ---> DLink DIR 655 ---> Vista (NeoRouter server: 32976)
forward public 32976 port to private computer 32976 port

For example, your Vista has a private IP 192.168.0.x, allocated by Dlink router. So you can try this:

1. On the Vista computer, open a CMD window, type
telnet 127.0.0.1 32976
If you can see it connects to the server, let's do the next step

2. Run Configuration Explorer
User Name:
Password:
Log on to: 127.0.0.1

It should work and you can log on to the server now.

3. Let's try NeoRouter domain name.
If your port forwarding is setup properly, you can run the Configuration Explorer and
Log on to: NeoRouter domain name

If it does not work, you can open a browser and go to the website: http://www.getip.com/. From here, you can see your public IP address and try to put this address in the "Log on to" textbox in the sign in dialog box.

If the public IP does not work, it's more like your port forwarding does not setup properly.

Let us know, if you still have problem.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

My port forwarding does not seem to be working on my DIR 655 router.

My virtual server set up on my router is as follows;

Name:NeoRouter Public Port: 32976
IP: 192.168.0.199 Private Port: 32976
Protocol TCP
6
Schedule Always
Incoming filter Allow all

I am trying to get some help from DLink

Frustrated

Hi Malcolm,

Did you check out this? http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DIR-655/Echolink.htm

Good luck,

I followed the directions on the site link you sent me and was able to confirm that port 32796 is open on my static IP address.....using www.canyouseeme.org

When I try to open NetConfiguration and login to 127.0.0.1 the program opens up for a few seconds then the log in screen comes back! I have never been able to get beyond that. Also with NetExplorer its log in once and for a second a screen comes up telling that I have no computers available and then goes back to the log in screen and loops again.

Sorry this is becoming a pain!
