have read up about neorouter and it looks very interesting, especially after the issues i'm having getting hamachi working in gateway mode.

i only have the one computer on my home LAN (windows home server), and various other network devices such as IP camera system, security system, digital set top box, etc. Therefore i cannot install the client on these devices.

is it possible to setup neorouter server as a gateway, such that i can access all other resources on my LAN through it?

i.e. have neorouter server running on my WHS, vpn in to it from my laptop at work with neorouter client, be given a local IP on my LAN from my DHCP pool, and then be able to reach the devices on their local IP addresses?

Hi FARQ,

Thanks for your interest in NeoRouter.

I'm afraid that NeoRouter does not support either gateway mode or site-to-site vpn so far. We may add these features in the future if more users request for it.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

Hi FARQ,

Please, read this topic:

http://www.neorouter.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1147

In my modest opinion your case is almost the same as mine...
Kevin explained it very very well (Thank you again, Kevin) how to do that...

Thanks for the prompt response Kevin

I figured from reading stefancho's thread that what i wanted to do wasn't possible with neorouter.... although i can't use proxy as the resources on my LAN i need to access aren't web based and use specific communications software directly to the IP on a specific port.

Would there perhaps be a way to bridge the connection between the LAN and VPN network on the windows home server to allow communications between both?

You can describe the things which are not up to the mark in each way
