Hi et2012,
Thanks for using NeoRouter.
If you changed the your server listen port from
Configuration Explorer, you may be asked for restarting the NeoRouter service to take effect. Or you can simple reboot your computer.
Once the service restarted, you can verify using the following steps:
a. use telnet to check if the server is running at the new port
telnet 127.0.0.1 [new port] If it works, go to (b).
b. run the Configuration Explorer
c. input your user name, password and [domain name]:[new port number]
for example:
user name : mikes
password: xxxxxxx
log on to: domain1:443 (here domain1 is the NeoRouter domain, 443 is the new port number)
or you can use this:
log on to: 127.0.0.1:443 (here 127.0.0.1 is your local IP address, 443 is the new port number)
d. if the Configuration Explorer works, you can use your clients as before.
NOTE: Remember to set your home Router to do port forwarding to the correct port BTW, the "
log on to" field can recognize
* domain name
* ip address
* domain name:port
* ip address:port
Once you changed port successfully, your domain and port information will be updated in OUR domain database as well, so that your NeoRouter clients can get correct port number of your server to connect. So you can simply use your domain name to log on, the NeoRouter will use the new port automatically.
If you are confident that your NeoRouter server is running at the new port, but NeoRouter clients still connect to the default 32976 port, this means your domain information is not updated properly. You can try to change the port from
Configuration Explorer again. Or you can send an email request to
support@neorouter.com for help.
Let us know if you still have problem.
Thanks!
