i use neorouter so me and my friends can all play lan games from there houses and log on to my network. right now every thing works nicely but the down side is every computer has to be running the neorouter client. if i could bridge the 2 networks using my router then only the people not at my house would have to be running the client and when im not at home i could log into my network and connect to things on my network that can't run the client. thanks Eric

Yes. You can do this.

For more details please check out http://www.neorouter.com/wiki/index.php ... o_site_VPN

changed brctl addbr $br to brctl addbr br1 and seem to now get to step 3 ( brctl addif br1 nrtap) but now i get error (interface nrtap does not exist. im guessing that is cuz there is no client installed in tomato.

Your case is similar to the point to site vpn using bridging method. Please refer to http://www.neorouter.com/wiki/index.php ... idge_1.png

You don't need to config the router, but a separate computer , e.g. a gateway with NR Client installed. Config that computer and make it as a bridge.

its not how i would like to do it but its looking like that is the only way at this point until there is a client for tomato. got this router so i wouldn't have to leave a computer on all the time.lol. ok lets say i setup a computer and run the client on there, now 192.168.20.1-192.168.20.150 is my lan and 192.168.20.151 and up is my neorouter lan. i set the computer up and its home network ip is 192. 168 .20.10 and its neorouter ip is 192.168.20.155. so i bridge the network with winxp tool and set up the ini file 192.168.20.1-192.168.20.150,192.168.20.155 so now any computer on neorouter that has the ini file should see 192.168.20.1- 192.168.20.150 right? but can 192.168.20.1-150 see 151-254?

Yes. They should be able to see each other, it's a two-way bridging.

BTW, NR Client for Tomato has lower priority, as the official tomato is using the old openssl lib. We need some time to port it. Meanwhile, you can use the openwrt kamikaze instead if you like it.

Thanks,
