I have been using nr successfully to connect from my 7 HomePremium to 7 Pro, I need to connect to a computer running 7HP also and I am getting a connection error. Ping works. I can see the computer in my network. Is there some setting I am missing ? Both computers have the box checked to allow remote access. I have attached screen shot. Thanks for any help

Win7 Home Premium does NOT have remote desktop host(server) feature: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... -questions Which editions of Windows 7 include Remote Desktop Connection? All editions of Windows 7 include Remote Desktop Connection. . You can use Remote Desktop to initiate a connection from any edition of Windows 7. . You can connect to computers running Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, or Windows 7 Enterprise. . You can't use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to computers running Windows 7 Starter, Windows 7 Home Basic, or Windows 7 Home Premium. So you have to choose other options, such as VNC, teamviewer, logmein, etc. |

Also, I have used webex to connect to the same computer, but webex is not stable on a 64bit system. |

Hi nke130, Windows Home edition does not support Remote Desktop, but you can use either TightVNC or UVNC over NeoRotuer virtual network. Unlike teamviewer, LMI Pro or webex, NeoRouter is a VPN and remote access solution, which creates a virtual LAN of your computers over the Internet. You can not only remote access to a computer, but also transfer file using Windows Shared folders or FTP , remotely print documents, play network games over the virtual LAN; basically you can run any applications over the network. Also it's a secure network and all traffic get encrypted. Thanks, KevinZ - NeoRouter team |
