Hi Community,

Is there a way to see the last used public IP-address of a stolen computer ?

Any help would be appreciated

Hi MichalS,

If you have NR Pro server hosted and have the "auditing" feature enabled, you may find the information in the auditing log file.

Thanks,

So unfortunate and such a paradox that i actually was waiting on the Mesh sollution for the exact same reason.

:(

How about the Neorouter-ip of the machine, is it posible to find that. Then, maybe i can traceroute on connect ?

Edit: Thanks for the reply btw. :-)

Hi MichalS,

If that machine is online, you can run the tool tcpview to check its public IP, if you two computers created p2p connection. Or go to the computer, on which the NR server is running, you will see its public IP.

Thanks,

Thank you very much, the stolen computer didnt get online again until yesterday. I did manage to get the IP of the thief/fence, and i have sent it to the police along with screenshots. (tcpview ftw!)

I was also able to get some vague information on the whereabouts and more important, most of my documents.

Thanks again, and I am sorry for my late response.

//MichalS

PS: Cant wait till the Mesh-launch ;-)
