The Proxy.xml keeps being loaded, even if the client radio button is set to manual. I had to delete it before the client would connect.

The Proxy setting will be loaded when nrservice starts the connection to the server. If you choose the option "Manual proxy configuration", it assume you specify a proxy server and try to connect to it. Please choose "No Proxy" option instead.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

Sorry, my mistake, I meant to say when I select NO PROXY it still loads the Proxy.xml. I had to delete it.

Yes. It loads the proxy.xml, then it know the "No Proxy" option from the setting.

Thanks,

All I know, in my case, with the "No Proxy" setting, I could not connect, until I deleted Proxy.xml.

Found the issue: If NeoRouter is not run in "admin" mode, then the client service does NOT restart, and thus the new option does not take affect.

Yes. You are right. Proxy setting changes will not take affect until the nrservice restarts.

Thanks,
KevinZ

There should probably be a notice to the user then for Vista / Windows 7 users. ;)
