Signin failed because connection to server cannot be established. (hr=0x8007274d)

Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Green on the dashboard
No firewalls except Windows Firewall. The exceptions are correct.
Running pro beta 9.10.1650

Also when running the latest free version, it never accepts the password.

I cannot use neorouter at all right now.

I am having the same problem. We also experienced this on another machine yesterday. I've already tried rebooting. The NRClient.exe process is running, but in the services control panel it shows NRClientService as stopped. I tried killing the task and restarting the service, but the service won't start.

Thanks for the reports!

Can you help collect the log file and sent it to support@neorouter.com.

Please refer to http://www.neorouter.com/wiki/index.php ... og_file.3F to setup the Log.ini file, repro your issue and send the log files. So that we can investigate it.

Thanks!

I sent the logs yesterday did you receive them? I am going to go ahead and uninstall Neorouter and reinstall. That fixed this problem last time. However, we are using NeoRouter on about 150 machines right now and I really don't want to have to do this everytime the problem occurs. I am using a laptop of that helps.

Uninstalling and re-installing fixed the problem. Please investigate the cause though. I am very concerned that this could happen on other machines. I'd rather be able to avoid the problem or find a faster solution.

Hi gwheele1,

We didn't receive log file from you yet. Would you send it again?

If some one is given the error message "Signin failed because connection to server cannot be established. (hr=0x8007274d)" with the error code hr=0x8007274d, it should happen when using Configuration Explorer to log on ONLY (v0.9.10). The error code indicates the network problem when trying to sign in from Configuration Explorer. Re-install may helps, but you can also try other methods. For example, if it just a NR client, remove the main configuration folder and restart the nrservice.

Let us know if someone else comes cross the similar issue.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

I will send the logs soon. I havent had the chance yet. The error is from trying to log on via the Configuration Explorer using the PRO edition. Uninstalling and re-installing DOES NOT WORK for me.

To users who run NRServer on Win7 X64

Issues:

If you
1.run NRServer on Win7 X64
AND
2.choosed the option “Enable UPnP” of the NAT setting in the Configuration Explorer -> Setting tab (no matter actually use UPnP or Portforwarding). Since the default setting in all version older than v0.9.10 (included), you may want to check if you didn’t change to “

You might come cross the following issues in terms of your network environment
1. Cannot log in with error code hr=0x8007274d
2. NRServer keep restarting

Solutions:

1.Make sure NRServer is running and no NR clients connected to it
2.Run Configuration Explorer and log on to the NRServer
3.Go to “Setting” tab -> NAT Setting, choose “Setup port forwarding manually” option and click on the “Restart” button to restart the NRServer service
4.Done

If it still does not work, please wait for the next release of v0.9.11 (coming soon), which includes another fix.

Thanks,
KevinZ – NeoRouter team
