Post subject:  hr=0x80072749 - Cannot login from a Client

Hi
The free server version is installed on laptop (32 bit/ xp) with public ip. port is 80 & green and tcp and checks ok. can log in fine here.

the client is installed on a computer with a different public ip
[xp/32 bit]. It Can't connect even by adding in the ip:port in the 'log on to' field. error is hr=0x80072749
'sign in failed because connection to the server cannot be established' - I tried both ends using tcp and udp only connections.

Telnetting to the public server ip and port number does works

please let me know what I have to do. I have tried the pro version too, but get the same problem.

Thanks for your report, but we cannot reproduce your issue yet.

Can you try to run the Configuration Explorer see if you can log on to it? Also doulbe-check if you have other application listening at the same port 80?

If the Configuration Explorer does not work neither, please help to collect the log file and send it to us.

Thank you Kevenz, It works now, I was using the portable edition to test and not the installed version.
