I am trying to sign in with the neoruter client, but it just stays at "signin in progress" and then returns the login screen. I've checked my router settings and says that the port is open.

Are client and server in the same physical LAN? Can you connect using server's LAN IP address? If so, your router may not support hair-pin and you can refer to section 3.4.3 Server Local Address in the manual for solution.

Section 7.1 of the user's manual has a more complete trouble shooting guide.

How can I find out the server's LAN IP address?

Follow the instructions at this site on your server to get its ip address.

I am on Mac OS X 10.6

I am still unable to sign in after trying the ip address

I booted into Windows on my computer and NeoRouter server worked flawlessly there, but when I boot into Mac OS X, it's different. I want to be able to setup and get NeoRouter server working on Mac OS X. The IP ADDRESS only worked with Windows.

Can you give more information so that we can help troubleshoot?

1. ps aux|grep nrserver
2. if the process is running, can you run Configuration Explorer from Window and connect to the server using the local ip address of the mac machine?

For 1, this is what terminal gave me:

For 2, I can't do that since I only have one computer. It should be possible to set up the server and client on the same computer and then add other computers later?

That's fine.

Can you try this on mac:

1. telnet localhost 32976
see if you can connect to the server

2. ps aux|grep nrservice
