Every few minutes all of the clients on my neorouter network show the message "Reconnecting to NeoRouter" in place of the computer list.

When this happens, my remote desktop is disconnected until a few seconds after the reconnection has been made.

The server is installed on a very stable web server at a major colo. Can anyone give me any hints as to how to fix?

Hi deadserious,

Seems like the connection gets broken for some reason. If all clients did this, more like the server side break all connections. Can you please check the nrserver? Does it restart? If you cannot figure out, please help collect the log file of the nrserver and sent it to support@neorouter.com. We will help you investigate it.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

Ok. Looking in the server's system event log, I'm seeing messages like this:

The NeoRouter Connection Server service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 38 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: Restart the service.

It looks like this is what's causing the disconnects.

Is there a specific log file created by neorouter that I could send you?

For logging apporach, please refer here http://www.neorouter.com/wiki/index.php ... og_file.3F

Btw, are you using "Port Forward" or "UPnP" method to expose the listening port of the server? From the Configuration Explorer >> Setting tab you will see the setting.

Thanks,

Port Forward

But here's something interesting. I changed the port on which the server listens and it appears to have stopped crashing. I wonder if someone was working on a denial of service or injection attack of some sort.

Is it possible that some other apps are listening on the same port?

No other app is listening on the port. It's a web server I own at a colo facility. I'm in control of what is installed.

Besides, if that were the case, NeoRouter probably wouldn't even start.

Can you try this? Quit from NeoRouter Explorer, delete the Add-on folder, then start the NeoRouter Explorer.
