When logging in to neorouter using nrclientcmd I get the following error:
Cannot connect to NeoRouter Server due to error 0X8007006B. Automatically retry.

I'm using a laptop as a server, with nrserver installed in 32 bit ubuntu linux, latest build of nrserver. Nrserver is working fine I think as the nr dashboard can see the server. This laptop server sits under a router with ddwrt installed, where I believe lies the issue. Any of the computers I have underneath the router cannot login, and have the same issue. I saw a thread saying it's a networking issue but I can't seem to fix it, I was hoping to get some help if that's possible, even though I know it's not neorouter causing the issue.

I'm kind of confounded as I used to have it working fine using the same set up with a different router, same firmware, but that one fried, so I bought a new one, and I don't have a backup of the old configuration.

I found out something interesting:
When I use the IP address of the server running nrserver instead of the domain when connecting within the same network/lan/under the router, I can connect no problem, however this is a hassle to need this information when I technically shouldn't and didn't used to need it. Because of this, I'm thinking this may indeed be a bug...not sure though.

Hi lienmeat,

The error code means "Transport endpoint is not connected"

Can you verify if it's the "hairpin issue", refer to
http://www.neorouter.com/wiki/index.php ... 2_issue.3F

Thanks,

Yeah, sorry to waste your time. That is definitely it.

I guess I'll just deal. It may be less of an issue with the windows based network explorer, but the nrclientcmd cli interface for linux doesn't have that option to fall back on a local address as far as I know, so I can't even rely on my script I use...I'd have to change the argument depending on where I am...oh well.

Hi lienmeat,

The "Server Local Address" setting on Windows will finally modify the Feature.ini file. So you can add the feature manually to workaround the hairpin issue.

Here is an example in the Feature.ini file.

Code:
[Default]
AltServer=testdomain,192.168.0.115:32976
