NOTE: not sure if this is a bug so apologize if I missed something.

After install of Free version changed the port in Dashboard from the machine running the server. Made sure ports were forwarded and working. However test of connection always fails. After reinstall of server with pre-existing NeoRouter Domain with the new port already set, all works fine. Tried several variations of install and always found that Port change had to be created in Dashboard prior to installing Server.

Hi masslessmass,

To change the listen port of a NR server, you may want to run NR Configuration Explorer or NR Web Console, sign in to the NR server, change the port from there, then restart the NR server.

Simply changing the port on Dashboard does not work for NR server. Basically NR server will sync up the port from NR server to our backend server, i.e. Dashboard. The reason why we allow user to change the port on Dashboard is that sometimes users may want to manually sync up the port instead of waiting for NR server to update it.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team
