|Post subject:||clone steals IP from existing NR client|
i created a server, then cloned it. (ubuntu 12.04)
i installed that clone in machine 1, then installed NR. it works on NR.
i installed that clone in machine 2.
i did the following before installing nrclient
sudo dpkg -r nrclient
sudo rm /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
sudo rm /usr/local/ZebraNetworkSystems/NeoRouter/Client.xml
then sudo dpkg -i etc.
when i run machine2, it grabs the IP from machine1.
they do NOT have the same MAC address on eth0 according to ifconfig. how can we control the IP address that is assigned to newly cloned machines?
this is an ongoing issue for us.
