I am connecting several raspberry pi devices together with NeoRouter. The NeoRouter server is installed on amazon AWS. each device periodically (every minute) checks if its NeoRouter is connected, if it's not connected then it executes: sudo /usr/bin/nrclientcmd -d <domain> -u <user> -p <pass> There are two devices that are fighting on the same address, when one attempts to connect, it says "Connecting to NeoRouter Client Service.", then "Signing in." and connects with the address 10.0.0.8 When this happens, the second device is disconnected because it was connected with the same address, and then the second device attempts to reconnect and causes the first device to disconnect... this continues for ever, Both devices are constantly connected to the internet. Why is NeoRouter not realizing that this address is being used and that it should find another address? How can i fix this? Thanks Omar |

Hi omargammoh, Generally when two devices are fighting with the same virtual IP addresses, please verify if the MAC address of the primary network adapter on those devices are same. If not, completely uninstall NR client from one of the devices and re-install it again. After uninstall NR client, delete the main config folder - ZebraNetworkSystems folder. Do not copy the folder from one device to another, as the Client.xml caches the MAC address and it will cause the problem as well. Let us know if you still have the problem. Your solution worked, Thank you very much KevinZ !! The problem was that i was doing all raspberry pi installations using one raspberry pi, and then i would take the SD card and put it in another raspberry pi. Is there a way to reconfigure the neorouter to the new device MAC without having to reinstall it? i tried to delete the Client.xml but this didnt do it. Omar |
