Post subject: | [SOLVED] Can't connect GUI hr=0x80820104 |
Hello, here's the issue of the day: "Signin failed because connection to server cannot be established (hr=0x80820104)" from Network explorer client Same message with [hr=0x8007274c] on Configuration Explorer This is the Free version, 2.3.1, there's only one remote client still on the previous version that I couldn't update yet. I first noticed after upgrading one machine to Windows 10, I had to reinstall ALL of my apps. I thought I had forgotten my password, but I couldn't even connect from the server itself pointing to 127.0.0.1 (which also has the client) I tried disabling the firewalls on different ends, I reinstalled NR server this morning: without success. Nothing was changed on the server, except recent Windows Updates. The network does seem functional, though! The server machine has OCS inventory Server running also, and the updates keep coming in. I can ping its Neorouter address remotely. So the only problem is that the GUI is useless, so I can't manage the network anymore... Thanks for the help. |

Hi cmezza, 0x8007274c means connection timed out. Try the NR Config first and make it work. Can you enable logging and run NR Config see if you can sign in using the private IP? can you also provide the result of "ipconfig"? Thanks, KevinZ - NeoRouter team |

Hi KevinZ, I still couldn't log. With NR Config Explorer, I get hr=0x80820400 now. If I use an existing user (me "Cyril"), with any password or random keystrokes, that's when I receive 80820400 If I use a non existing user with a random password, I get "Username and password do not match" Could the db be corrupted or something like that ? |

Hi cmezza, Thanks for your log file. Based on your server's log file, I can see the user account , used for signing in, has been disabled (error code 8081db93). Please use a different account. 2015-07-31 13:59:48,886|01516|03828| | +[CDBUser::SignIn] 2015-07-31 13:59:48,886|01516|03828| | -[CDBUser::SignIn](hr=0x8081db93) You can always go to the server's machine and use the nrserver CLI command line to manage your accounts. Let us know if any question or concern. Thanks, KevinZ - NeoRouter team |

Thanks KevinZ, nrserver.exe -agentmode -enableuser Username then nrserver.exe -agentmode -setpassword Username secretpass did the trick, I'm back in! May I suggest a more explicit error message in a future update ? That disabled user may have been the result of "Account lockout" (that I left enabled). Had I known in the first place that my account was disabled, it would have taken only a few minutes to resolve... But thanks again for the help! |
