Has anyone used the Android client on one of the new mini Android phones with the smaller screen, like the SonyEricsson X10 mini? The reason for this question is, because some apps have issues with the small screen size.
Thanks, Wolfgang

hi wolfgang123usa,

I have not tried on the mini devices, but we have tested on the Android emulators with small screen sizes.
Our Android app uses standard UI controls to display list, menu and buttons. Android OS is designed to handle various screen sizes. So we expect our app to work well.
Let us know if you have any more questions.

Sorry, I'm totally new to this.

I have tried Neorouter, and generally I'm liking it.

It took a while to work out.

One question is with the Android app. Exactly how does it work?

I'm looking to see my computer on my android phone. Apart from this app, do I need another program to be able to access and view my computer on my phone?

Hi browngeek,

Thanks for your interest in NeoRouter.

NeoRouter for Android is a Android version of NeoRouter client. NeoRouter is a cross-platform zero-configuration VPN solution, which includes two components: server and client.

In your case, you may want to:

1.Create a NeoRouter domain and setup a NeoRouter server with the domain. You can refer the document for how to setup NeoRouter server and client: http://www.neorouter.com/Documents.html

2.Setup a NeoRouter client on the computer you want to access remotely
and connect the NeoRouter client to the NeoRouter server.

3.Install the NeoRouter for Android on your cell phone. Once you log on to the NeoRouter server, you will see the computer list.

4.To remotely access those computers over the NeoRouter network, you can use any third party software. For example, if you want to remote desktop to a computer, you can use a third party rdp software, say Remote RDP lite. Of course, you may want to setup either "dynamic port forward" or "static port forward" options before running those software.
For details, please refer to http://www.neorouter.com/android/portforward.html

To be clear, the following diagram may explain how Android app works.
[Android app: ConnectBot or rdp/vnc client] --> NeoRouter for Android --> Remote computers with NeoRouter client installed

Let us know if you still have question.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

Ah, OK, thanks, so NeoRouter Android acts as a sort of "bridge".

I do have some other questions, but will point them towards the other more relevant forums.

Android applications development for a threat to service providers and mobile network equipment manufacturers. The text messages if you are offered a free implementation of Google Android Voice. This means that users of Android-based phones do not have to use text messages offered by mobile network provider. Android applications are those that can completely change the characteristics of the phone. Producers only want phones or changed according to the whims and fancies of others.
