I installed the Tomato/neorouter firmware. However, it seems that I need a Windows machine to setup the nrserver because that is only available Configuration utility. is it true?

i have tried running the latest Windows client on VM Fusion running Windows XP3 but that for some reason when I start the setup program i get "Note that the Windows version of NeoRouter will only run on windows XP or higher". very strange since i surely meet this requirement.

Hi gorbunok,

After installed the Tomato/neorouter, you can install a NeoRouter client on a windows computer. The NeoRouter client package contains the Configuration Explorer, with which you can manage the nrserver running on the Tomato box.

The message "Note that the Windows version of NeoRouter will only run on windows XP or higher" means it's available on all Windows version including Win xp+, including your Windows XP sp3. So, just install it.

If you try to install this package on a Win2000, it will not let you go.
