I have a Mac running snow leopard. Followed all directions but the server doesn't start. I have created my admin user and domain through terminal successfully but cannot log in.

Any ideas?

I get error -2138973426

hi brbick,

Thanks for using NeoRouter. Please check a few things:
- root:wheel has read and write access to /usr/local/ZebraNetworkSystems/NeoRouter/*. NRServer installer should automatically set the correct access rights. Did you change it by any chance?
- please make sure root:wheel can read/write to /tmp
- please make sure you do not exceed the max number of open files. use "ulimit -a" to find out the limit.

Hope this helps.
Luke

Thanks Luke. I did as you instructed and noticed that additional access was needed.

But still not running. Now I get this error: 2147024848

hi brbick,

The error code -2147024848 means EADDRINUSE - "address already in use". Please make sure only one instance of nrserver is running and no other applications are bound to the port.

Thanks,
Luke

I've only got one instance of the server. I even uninstalled and reinstalled. Still is not running. And nothing that I am aware of is using that port.

I'll keep trying. Getting that same error.

hi brbick,

You can use "netstat" command to find out which program is using the port?

My local host appears to be using the port. As a loopback.

Should I change the listening port for neorouter?

Any additional thoughts? It appears that my localhost is using the port that neo router wants.

Next steps?

Anyone else get this working on mac?

hi brbick,

Can you run the following commands and send the results to support@neorouter.com?
- "ps -A"
- "netstat"

Please note that nrserver should automatically start and you do not need to manually launch it in most cases.

Thanks,
Luke
