Hi,

I installed client and server 1.5.0.2810 on the same computer. Server is running, and client fails to start with a message "Sign in failed, error 0X80820101."

The same client runs on a different similar PC.

There's a topic saying it's a busy port (client and server conflict?).
Another topic says I *can* install and run both client and server on same computer.

Which one is true? Is it a recent bug?

Thank you.

hi singalen,

you can install nrclient and nrserver on the same computer. there are no port conflicts between them.
the error code you are seeing has a very generic meaning. could you install the private build from here (http://download.neorouter.com/Downloads ... 0a/Ubuntu/), gather nrservice log (http://www.neorouter.com/wiki/index.php ... og_file.3F) and send to support@neorouter.com?

Thanks,
Luke

Thanks, Luke!

With private build, nrclient starts and the server PC is visible as online (with official build, it appeared offline).

Though, ifconfig shows no "nr*" interface on server.

Now sending logs.

hi singalen,

Thanks for collecting and sending those log files.
It appears that nrservice is unable to open /dev/net/tun for read and write. Please check the device, ensure it is setup correctly, not busy, and nrservice (root:wheel) has access to it.

Thanks,
Luke
