Client software connects and works great !! Once I sign out and close the connect/software the TAP interface doesn't seem to disengage. I can still ping the 10.x internal address scheme. All internet traffic comes to a complete halt, and I am not able to ping google.com amazon.com etc..

Upon reboot, the tap0 interface is up and no connectivity , meaning I connect DHCP to the network but I am unable to ping out, the tap0 interface is blocking .

via cli: ifconfig tap0 down

I can now ping the network and get to the internet.

Am I missing something from a configuration prospective?

hi tpetrone,

Mattias Nissler recently updated TunTapOSX for Mac Lion. Can you try his latest release from http://tuntaposx.sourceforge.net/download.xhtml? Let us know whether that solves the issue. If not, we will investigate further.

Thanks,
Luke

Hi Luke,

I've made my own installer for each version since upgrading to Lion. One thing that continued to be a problem is the regular crashing on attempting to close and at random. Installing the 2011 version of tuntap from your link seems to have solved that problem.

Should I send you a copy of my installers, the ones on your website won't install on Lion.

Cheers,

Jeff

hi Jeff,

Thanks for your post and offer to help.
We had fixed this issue last December. The fix is already in Mesh 1.6.2 and Pro 1.6.3 releases. But it was not in Free 1.6.0.
We plan to release the next version of NR Free (1.7.0) soon and it should include this fix.

Thanks,
Luke
