I already had set up neorouter-tomato on my router and it was working great.

However, I bought a new router that doesn't support tomato, but that I need for other features.

I want to use the neorouter/tomato router as an "access point' plugged into one of the lan ports on the back of the new router just for the purpose of utilizing the neorouter server.

Is this possible? I plan on changing the default ip address on the tomato/neorouter box from 192.1.68.1.1 to something else.

What settings (port forwarding) do I need to do to each router?

I am not familiar with much linux commands, so please be as specific / step by step as possible.

THank you!

Hi sethlo,

Simply use your tomato router as a computer and setup port forwarding on your new router to open the NR server's listen port to the Internet.

No need to change anything on your tomato router.

Let us know if you have any question.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team
