Hi there,

I've got a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH router running OpenWRT Backport 10.3.1

When I tried installing the NeoRouter Free ipk, everything went fine until the server was executed.

I'm currently getting an error message:
/usr/bin/nrserver: can't load library 'libssl.so.0.9.8'

When I check my version of SSL, it shows I have version libssl.1.0.0.so

I tried making symlinks for the older version, but then had a pthread_atfork error preventing it from running. Is there a workaround for this?

Hi reiichi,

NR for AR71xx is based on the OpenWrt Backfire official build, which uses the openssl libs 0.9.8 as the default libs. We cannot make sure it run on all private OpenWrt builds, though it may work.

It looks like the

root@OpenWrt:~# ldd nrserver
libssl.so.0.9.8 => /usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.8 (0x2aabf000)
libcrypto.so.0.9.8 => /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.8 (0x2ab0c000)
libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x2ac28000)
libcrypt.so.0 => /lib/libcrypt.so.0 (0x2ac4d000)
libdl.so.0 => /lib/libdl.so.0 (0x2ac71000)
libuClibc++.so.0 => /usr/lib/libuClibc++.so.0 (0x2ac84000)
libc.so.0 => /lib/libc.so.0 (0x2accb000)
libm.so.0 => /lib/libm.so.0 (0x2ad45000)
libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x2ad6f000)
ld-uClibc.so.0 => /lib/ld-uClibc.so.0 (0x2aaa8000)

root@OpenWrt:~# ls /lib/libpthread.so.0 -l
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 Jan 11 2011 /lib/libpthread.so.0 -> libpthread-0.9.30.1.so

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

I know that this is a reasonably old thread, but I ran across it in a search for the same issue.

KevinZ, of the NeoRouter team, I'd like you to take a moment, and reexamine the OP...

OK... Catch it? He said 10.3.1. I know he said Backport 10.3.1, but I assure you, he meant Backfire.

Now, reexamine your response. Backfire 10.3.1 IS THE OFFICIAL BUILD, linked here, released almost a year ago: http://downloads.openwrt.org/backfire/10.03.1/

Can we get our updated build, now, since you won't open-source for us to take care of ourselves?

Is there any updates when libssl will be updated?

Same problem here, on a TP-Link WR1043ND with OpenWRT Backfire. Is there any way for circumventing this issue?
Thanks.
