Post subject: | Automatic added users has role Admin |
Hello, I installed NeoRouter (server) Free (nrserver-1.9.0.3800-free-fedora-x86_64.rpm) on Fedora 12. NeoRouter populates it's user database (nrserver -showusers) automatic after successful user login. Users are authenticated by OS. Problem: That new created users gets role admin. That new user can then manage other users, server settings and so. Code: # nrserver -showusers NeoRouter Free [Version 1.9.0.3800] Copyright (C) 2013 NeoRouter Inc. *** Please run this command as root *** User List: Username=Default User, FriendlyName=Default User, Role=user Username=jskalican, FriendlyName=jskalican, Role=admin Can automatic created users be in role user? Can I disable nrserver to authenticate users to OS and autenticate it to its own database? Thank you Michal |

hi Michal, Thanks for the feedback. Currently you cannot disable OS auth, however we can add this option in our next release. To work around the issue, you can manually create NR users with the same username as the OS users, and assign them the correct role. NRServer will authenticate using NR users first and only fallback to OS when user is not found. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks, Luke |
