So got one of these for an Openwrt install http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/unbranded/a5-v11 Built an image for it, installs well, does all the Openwrt stuff you woud expect-went to install the Openwrt mipsel Neorouter package-but comes back with an error saying the architecture is wrong? The image has to precompiled from trunk, which I'm guessing is closer to Chaos Calmer than Barrier Breaker-would this be the cause of the incompatability-or is it the chipset?. The chipset is ok, I think but I would welcome some feedback on whether this beastie will work with NR. Going to try a BB image, and see if that makes a difference anyway. cheers cabs |

Hi cabsandy, Yes. It's CPU specific. I'm afraid that NR supports several most popular arch so far. Without compiling against specific toolchain for RT5350, it won't work. Thanks, KevinZ - Neorouter team |

Kev Thanks for the speedy reply. I'm still a bit confused though-I'm compiling against the chipset, as recommended by the Openwrt guys for this router-that is, RT5350. Does NR work on the RT5350 chipset based routers?-that's the bit that I'm not clear on. As when I flash the router with the compiled image, openwrt works perfectly-its just that NR doesn't! If I understand correctly what you saying (looking at other posts on toolchains), this $8 router, and the toolchains it has/uses, is not one you have compiled NR against at this time-and as a result, wont install or work? cheers cabs |

Hi cabsandy, No. I'm afraid that NR doesn't support RT5350 yet. NR supports Broadcom BCM947XX/953xx, Atheros AR&xxx/AR9xxx and x86. Thanks, KevinZ - NeoRouter team |

Ahh-ok. To be fair, compiled and got it working on the CC chain-works well as an Openwrt box but I think NR client running on it would kill it! Syslog takes up 18% CPU |
