What is the best router, or firmware distribution, for running Neorouter server as of 1/1/16?

I have tried it on Gargoyle running on top of Barrier Breaker and plain OpenWRT Barrier Breaker both on AR71xx chipsets and can't get it to install due to a "Segmentation Fault".

Looking for dual band, AC, or N if AC isn't possible, doesn't matter Broadcom or Atheros.

Thank you.

That's an idea, but I'd like to try and keep it to one device if possible. Thanks for the input.

I currently use cheapo TP-Link 842ND. It works very nice. I have problem that I think I caused when switching from Free to Pro version, that I removed some stuff and now NR wont update IP address when changed. With Free version it was OK.

Is this correct command for scheduled task for nrserver?

*/1 * * * * /usr/bin/nrcronserver

In future I will try running server on Droid C1+, since NR says it loves multiple cores, and this little machine has nicely clocked 4 cores, we will see any differences. It's small number of computers, so I reckon no big change, but I like to tinker with it.

If you want to spend a few dollars/pounds a month, I'd recommend setting up a machine on EC2 or Digital Ocean-this should be plenty for you needs.I'm on EC2 and its rock solid (but $14 a month). DO is much cheaper, and when I get the time, I'll be migrating my NR server across to its $5 machine
