I have been using Neorouter for quite some time and was anxious to try out Mesh because I wouldn't need to leave my home PC turned on all the time.

I uninstalled the previous neorouter client, and installed the Mesh client...entered the login info to my newly created mesh domain and got the following message.

"Signin failed because connection to server cannot be established"

I can log into the neorouter dashboard, so my username and password are correct. I have turned off my PC firewall...nothing.

Please, advise.

Thanks.

Hi tephyrnex,

Would you try it again?

Thanks,

No good. My first attempt was from my work laptop running Windows 7. My second attempt was from home on my MacBookPro. Both had the regular NeoRouter client installed initially, which I uninstalled prior to installing the Mesh client.

Hi tephyrnex,

We just found a bug causing the issue when the domain service is not started yet. We will release a new build for Mesh soon.

The workaround is that go to the Dashboard >> Domain Status, click on the "Restart" button to start the service if it's stopped. Then run the Network Explorer to sign in.

If your nrservice has been running before domain started, please restart the nrservice process.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks

Hi tephyrnex,

Please upgrade to the latest version of NR Mesh v1.6.0.2900, which fixed the bug.

Thanks,

Well, I now get a different error message...stating that my username or password are not correct.

I am able to log into the Dashboard correctly, so I know I have the password correct. I even created a shorter password (my original was rather long with spaces) that consists of only alpha-numeric characters. I restarted the server, restarted the client service on my laptop, logged out of the dashboard and back in to verify the password...still nothing.

NRMesh says that my username or password are incorrect.

Now, I can't actually see a Username from the Dashboard; however, if I remember correctly it defaulted to the same as the Domain name when I created it. I know I accepted the defaults.

????

Hi tephyrnex,

NR account is different from domain name and domain password, though they would be same while creating the domain.

Let us know if you still have problem.

Thanks,
