Installed Neorouter server on windows-2003 (m1) machine. Using laptop (m2) with windows-7 for Neorouter client.

1. Able to start server on the m1. Can connect to m1 from m2 when in LAN. Just give m1-computername and it works.
2. Cannot connect to m1 over internet. Tried the settings on DLINK router, but it does not seem to be working. Kindly help.
3. Cannot login from m1 with the domain created. It works without entering a domain.

Login screen shots from the neorouter servers are attached.
Settings in DLINK router as given in the attached file.

hi giteshs,

Thanks for using NeoRouter.
Please take a look at the "7.1 Troubleshooting" in the User's Manual http://www.neorouter.com/Documents.html. Please use the check port tool (http://www.neorouter.com/checkport.php) to verify your port forward setting. Also check whether your router supports "hair pin". If not, please read "3.4.3 Server Local Address".
Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks,
Luke

Hi Luke,

thank you for a quick response. I have gone through the video tutorials and done settings as per the same.
When I use the checkport tool, I get a message 'The address "<IP>:32976" is closed and the NeoRouter Server cannot be used at this time'. That is my public IP.

I'm not sure what else can be done to the router. Any help will be appreciated. I have attached the screen shots in my previous post.

hi giteshs,

The problem is definitely with the port forward settings. The following guide maybe helpful to you.

Thanks,
Luke

Hi Luke,

It is working now. I had sent both the internet and local port to 32976. But the internet side ports were different. So changed that to a range 32976 - 65536. It is working now.

Thank you for your support.
