Post subject:  Empty list on 3 machines

Hi, I try to make neorouter mesh working on this configuration:

1 pc win 7 at home behind 2 NAT nested (mesh portable)
1 pc at work win xp behind 1 NAT (mesh portable)
1 android phone directly connected UMTS (mesh client 4 android)

the problem is that all 3 machines show me an empty list (i have checked several time that I use the same neorouter domain for all)

but seems that all view each other because when i connect or disconnect one form the domain, the other get a popup that is obviously related to the connection/disconnection.

Can you please help me to debug this situation? I'm very interested in this service from you (if it works...:)....)

Hi megane72,

It's a normal behavior, because you run the "Portable" version of NR Mesh clients on the 3 computers, which is actually a "viewer" and won't be shown in a computer list.

You may want to install the NR Mesh client for Window on your Win7 and Winxp machines, then you can see the computer list and remotely access to them.

Let us know if you still have problem.

Thanks,

OK, you are right.

I installed the "normal" version onto the home server and now it is visible by the other two that are viewer.

Now what interest me:

i see i can open a remote desktop session or a putty (ssh i presume) to the home computer.
it is possible or you can implement a way to open a http session in the same way?
I explain, I will put up a web server on my home computer where it hosts some home application (home security, surveillance, etc) shared with this web server.
Remotely I need to acces this web application with a browser through the neorouter (mesh) tunnel.

Let me know.

Hi megane72,

Yes. Now you can run IE/FF/Chrome and type the virtual IP of your home web server to access to it. To be activated from Network Explorer directly, you can create your own add-on for a browser.

Actually you can run almost all network applications in this way, for example: you can print a document to a remotely printer, access remote shared folders, files or database, or play network games with your friends.

Thanks,
