Hi,

I'm getting a messgebox "The software will be expired in 0 days."

What causes this and can this be disabled as it will confuse users.

I did not think the licence would expire, this is (very good) freeware is it not?

Thanks I appreciate your software.

John

Hi John,

The NeoRouter Standard Edition is free of charge and there is no limitation if the server has access to the Internet.

To make sure it works properly, it's necessary for the server to have access to the Internet, as both domain service and P2P connection service need the Internet access. If not, a default expire day will be applied to the server and no clients are able to connect to the server.

The limitation can be removed when:
give the server access to the Internet and restart the server
or reinstall the server

If you are using NeoRouter Professional Edition, which is used for our partners to test and has an expired day, please contact us with your domain name at support@neorouter.com and we will help you asap.

thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

Thanks for the fast reply.

Heres some more details:

The server has access to the internet as far as I can tell. I have added a service for the port and forwarded this to the Server Ip. The config was set to UPnP on the server which the router supports but I will try it set to forward Manually now in the server config. I do not get the Expire in 0 days error on the server.

The error is from the installation on my machine with the explorer, which is on the same Lan. I will install on other machines to see if there is the same problem if you do not have a soloution on hand. On this Machine the Neorouter Zebra adapter becomes "unpluged" not allowing any login. This I have to reset with a reboot. I have not worked out the cause of the unplug issue (yet).

I have been able to get a connection from my home PC so I think the internet to the servetr is OK.

Please let me know if you would like to know the domain I will email any details to you.

Thanks,

John

Hi KevinZ,

I think I have resolved the Expired in 0 days issue.

The client was running 0.9.5.xxx and the server was on version 0.9.4.xxx.

Once I have upgraded the server to 0.9.5.992 the expiry error has not occurred..

I will advise if this version conflict was affecting the adapter connection problem.

Thanks,

John
