How do I install Neorouter on a WRT54GL with the Tomato .trx file? I thought with that type router you could only use .bin files not .trx. I there something I'm missing? :?:

Hi mrzilla69,

Simply rename the tomato firmware from .trx to .bin and install it.

Make sure your WRT54GL model is supported by Tomato. Refer to http://www.polarcloud.com/tomatofaq#how ... ksys_wrt54

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

Hi mrzilla69. Have you had any issues running NR Server on your WRT54GL? I'm hoping to get a bit more feedback before deciding whether or not to try it.

sjk,

Sorry for taking WAYYYYY long getting back here to answer your question.

I have not noticed any type of issues after installing neorouter ( accept not being able to get the android install to work on my wife's phone). I'm getting ready to upgrade to 1.30 to see what type of improvments have been made ...... and to see if I can get that Android part to work :D .

Good luck with your install!

No worries; my NeoRouter testing has been backburnered for awhile.

That's encouraging; thanks for letting me know.

Tomato firmware v1.28 support may inspire me to try it.
