 Post subject: remote desktop icon missing??

I installed Neo free on our server (as Server) and 1 workstation and 2 laptops. After Neo starts the 3 computers are listed. On the 2 laptop when you click on one of the other 2 you get info on that computer. Name, IP, and status. on the bottom you get a option to connect with Remote Desktop or open public files. BUT when you go to the desktop machine it's stat's are the same way except you do not get the remote desktop and file sharing options when you click on the other 2 laptops. You also can not connect to the laptops if you start RD manually. you can connect from either laptop to the desktop but not from the desktop to either laptop

Any Idea where to start?

Hi Havar7979,

Please open the "Add-on Manager" from the menu in Network Explorer see if you can see all add-ons? Does the ping work?

On the desktop machine the add on scree is blank. So it looks like something did not install correctly

Hi Havar7979,

Please choose the menu item "Help" >> "Troubleshooting" >> "Open Configuration Folder". Delete the "AddOns" folder, then restart the Network Explorer.

I just had a client call with exactly this same problem, no icons showing for any add-ons and nothing in the Add-ons manager window. Luckily I thought I had remembered reading about this, and a little search brought this post back up.

The fix posted by kevinz solved the problem immediately (thanks kevinz!).

This is the first time I've had a client call with a problem regarding NeoRouter. Usually, it just plain works!

In case it helps, this happened within a few days of updating to the new Pro Version 1.2.0.2350. I let the installer do everything, and had no problems during the upgrade.
Their OS is Windows 7
I have only updated 50% of the computers on my network.
NeoRouter Server was updated first.
