Hi,

I am a Linux sys admin. I use my Nexus One to access my machines (via SSH) when I need to and it is really handy to be able to do so. One down side is that I have to open ports whenever I am away from my systems. That's just when I'd rather not.

I use NeoRouter Profesional to administer my systems (spread country wide) and it has worked very well for me.

I would like to request that you consider creating a NeoRouter client app for the Android mobile OS then it indeed would be a fully cross platform system indeed and I would no longer have to leave a port open for accessing my systems when travelling.

Regards,

Paul Thompson

Thank you for the suggestion.

The answer is yes, we will support various mobile platforms including Android. And we have already started some related work.

I just wanted to chime in with something I came across the other day.

LogMeIn has finally made available the Linux and Max clients of Hamachi2, which their lack of doing so, and their almost underhanded way of making Hamachi disappear is the prime reason I moved to NeoRouter.

However, along with making those Betas available, they made available a Hamachi client for Windows Mobile. Looks like there might be a race for this.

If you guys need anyone to help test your Android app when it is ready enough, let me know. I do all kinds of crazy stuff to my android all the time, and take constant backups, I'm used to living with unstable software on it.

Thanks again for the awesome product.

Thank you, mugendai.
We are working hard on the Android port and will soon need your help to test it.

Hi guys,

A quick update of development progress for the Android version. We've been working hard on it and have an alpha version already. One can use any third party applications, such as ConnectBot, Android VNC and so on, to access the remote computers in the NeoRouter virtual network.

We will keep improving it and hope release it soon.

Stay tunned!

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

Slightly off topic, I notice that there is mention of other mobile platforms potentially being supported in the future - I would like to inquire whether Palm's WebOS is among that list. Thanks in advance.

Hi KnightZero,

Thanks for your good suggestion. WebOS may have a very low priority in our schedule so far. If there are more user requests, we can bump up its priority.

Thanks,
