Hi fredfred,

I think it's possible since Synology NAS is based on Linux (kernel 2.4/2.6), but we didn't test on these products.

Let us know if you can do it, we will help. :)

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

Hi fredfred,

Since ds107e uses PowerPC, I'm afraid you are not be able to use the latest version of NeoRouter for Linux. We will release a build for the PowerPC Linux if more users request for it.

Thanks,

I'll bump for Synology support.
I'm using the DS409; it's an ARM processor (Marvell 6281)

There are loads of requests for an ARM build (I would also like to have it for eTRAYz) and there is even a special topic about ARM build so I can't see why neorouter crew don't address this very seriously !

Couldn't be that hard as i.m.o would be a recompile of the OpenWRT build using different toolchain (arm i.o. mipsel).

Sorry for my English.
Much time had passed since the question... I know. But may be the question is still up to date.

It's possible and not very difficult.
I have Synology DS214 on ARM CPU.

1) Enable SSH on Synology
2) Install SynoСommunity repository.
3) Install MidnightCommander package
4) Download NeoRouter client fo Raspberry on computer.
5) Unpack *.deb using 7-zip for example. It will be data.tar archive.
6) Copy data.tar to Synology in some shared folder.
7) Connect to Synology by SSH and run mc.
8) Find data.tar in Shared folder in /Volume1
9) Enter in data.tar using mc (or just untar it)
10) You will see /etc and /usr folders.. Files from them should be coped to the same folders os Synology.
11) Enable tun-interface by command: insmod /usr/lib/modules/tun.ko
12) Run neo-service by command: /usr/bin/nrservice &
13) Run command to setup neo: nrcliencmd

The start-stop script "nrservice.sh" does not work and should be rewritten and I will do it if the question is still up to date.
