Related to my other post: is it possible for an Android device to get its own IP and show up as a computer on other NeoRouter clients? I imagine this might require root for a full network interface implementation. Another thread led me to believe that this might already be possible, but I haven't figured out how to do it with the normal client.

Hi courtarro,

In NeoRouter VLAN, your Android phone does have a virtual IP assigned. By design it's invisible in the computer list, because it's traded as a Viewer, just similar to NeoRouter Portable. A Viewer means that it connects to the server temporarily, can access to the computers in the VLAN, but does not share resource with others. From Configuration Explorer, you can see it's IP and computer type. You can also ping your cellphone from other computers in the VLAN.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team

There is any plan to implement the full feature network support in android. (To work like in windows, using TUN/TAP support fro rooted devices ?)
