I'm guessing others have done this. We have a number of toughbook computers being used in the field and connected by cellular internet. NR is working great communicating with them but we have had dificulty getting them to connect to the domain. All firewalls are off. Do they have to be in the same IP range as the local computers? Or do we have to use routed mode or bridged mode? Since there would be so many in the field I was hoping to avoid having to add or change static routes on all of them everytime another toughbook was added or removed from service. They don't really need to access many systems in the office except for the Endpoint management server and we would like to be able to control them using group policy in Active Directory. We are using the Pro version of NeoRouter if that helps.

Thank you.

Hi tachyon2u,

It's possible for you to setup an Active Directory server in the NR virtual LAN, however, you cannot add NR clients to an AD in the physical network. You should not use set NR DHCP range overlapped with your physical network, or it may cause problem while looking for computer.

Thanks,
KevinZ - NeoRouter team
